Virginia Beach Beverages first opened its doors in 1930. In 1946, William Tipton took ownership of the company under the name, 7-Up Bottling of Norfolk. Mr. Tipton maintained ownership until 1968 when Phillip Morris became the owner and changed its name to 7-Up of Virginia Beach. John Imbesi and his family took ownership of the company in 1983 and remained owners until the Jessup Family and Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Central Virginia purchased the business in 1994, at which point it was re-named Virginia Beach Beverages.
Prior to 1994, the flagship product of the company was 7-Up. Virginia Beach Beverages is now a distributor of a variety of carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks, water, and other beverages. Many of its products are produced locally at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Central Virginia’s manufacturing plant in Charlottesville, Virginia. Virginia Beach Beverages is proud to offer a wide variety of refreshments sure to meet the tastes of every consumer!
